Marie- Louise Markhorst talks about her love of minaitures.

“Miniatures have always been my passion. Ever since I was a little girl I enjoyed dolls houses tremendously. Visiting the museum in my hometown, I loved looking at the beautiful antique dolls house it had in its collection. Who would have thought I would try making replica’s of the metalware I saw there almost half a century later!

In these strange times it is hard to stay connected to people. I miss the miniatures fairs terribly, meeting people, talking about the shared passion of miniatures & seeing each others work.

Luckily we still can see each others work, if not in real life, then in the virtual world.
