The Kensington Dollshouse Festival Christmas Show is happening on December 2nd 2023

We loved catching up with all our regulars at the KDF Summer Show earlier this month, but we don’t have time to rest, we are already planning our next live show – our Christmas Show – on Saturday December 2nd 2023..

Our exhibitor list of top craftsmen will keep growing from now until December as more makers confirm their attendance. We are pleased to have lots of new makers attending alongside all of your favourites.

You can book your tickets HERE. If you book ticket before 20th November, you will automatically be put into our lucky draw to win £50 of vouchers to spend at the show.

Established in 1985, the London Dollshouse Festivals have been searching the globe for the best craftsmen who can perfectly replicate every day life in miniature. We have artists from all corners of the world attending our London shows. These craftsmen specialise in all aspects of miniatures from a grand, fully decorated mansion to a humble clothes peg & everything in between.

Without my team including Robin, Dilly, Lisa, Khrystyna, Salma, Clover, Frances & Annie, my supermum Anne & my hardworking kids Max & @lolabrandelli (+ her kitchen team) the show would certainly implode! Another huge thanks to Alison & Colin @thepigstyle for their support of the show & all their hard work & the gorgeous Emma Waddell @dolls_house_grand_designs for her continued help with searching & supporting new exhibitors at the show. Also huge that’s to the @kcvenues team who were great at helping with any problems that arose. After months of preparations, we are packing up the LDF Office & heading over to @kcvenues, to set up for the Christmas Show tomorrow. It is going to be an incredibly busy day but if you are unable to attend, we will try to post regularly from the show.

KDF CHRISTMAS SHOW: Auction for a beautiful Vintage Dolls House

With the Kensington Dollshouse Festival 2 days away, things here at KDF HQ are reaching boiling point (unlike the weather outside I am told, but I have not left the premises for 3 days!)

We have one last treat to add to an incredible line up at the show; we will that be auctioning a beautiful 8 roomed (including an Orangery!), Vintage dolls house, with a secret garden drawer PLUS all its contents.

(we are also able to arrange delivery for FREE if you are wishing a 50 mile radius of Kensington Town Hall - approximately, or offer very reasonable delivery rates).

The images show some of the beautiful pieces that will be included in the dolls house, which will be on display by the Main Entrance of the show.

Many thanks again to @thepigstyle who have helped with this auction, as well as supporting our Unicef for Ukraine appeal. Alison will also be running the Gingerbread Craft Club this year which will be running from 2pm - 5pm. Young ticket holders will be able to learn how to make loads of Christmas Decorations for their dolls house.

KDF CHRISTMAS SHOW: Dragon House

We have some great houses to view at the Christmas Show on Saturday. As always @mulvanyandrogers will have their latest project for us to gawp over (a Cotswold Cottage) & we are excited to see The Blue House, fresh off the pages of the Sunday Times, created by new exhibitor @mslucyclayton, but if you have been following the trial & tribulations of @vanalan_miniatures on IG for the last 6 or so months, you will be as excited as me to see the finished Dragon House (paint may still be a little wet in places)

This Gothic beauty started off as a basic dolls house kit but with the endless skills of Vanessa & Alan, it has been turned into a bit of a butterfly. Even their bees helped with the final finish, providing the beeswax for the floors.

Animal lovers will be happy to know that we have everything you need for your miniature pet at the show this year. @gloriacadenas will be attending the show for the 1st time from Sapin & alongside her gorgeous leather shoes & bags, she has a range of dog accessories for your pampered pouch (photo 1). Canis Minor also have pet accessories available on their stand on the Ground Floor Hall Stage.

If you are on the lookout for a dog or a cat to keep your doll family company, Canis Minor would be able to help with that too, or, we have @debbieminiatures (photo2) & @ehminiatures (photo 3) who create a wide range of furry friends or @sarah.hendry_ (photo 4) who has just added this beautiful Cockerpoo into her range of characterful canines.

KDF CHRISTMAS SHOW: New faces from overseas.

Catherine Ferouelle (based in France) has be in my sights for a while & I have finally got her to travel to London for our show on December 2nd. Under the name of L’ Atelier du Chat Botte, her work is just incredibly charming. Little mice doing all sorts of things + some other delights.

Travelling from Spain is @pilarcalleminiaturas. Beautiful dressed porcelain dolls + clothes without the dolls. Visitors to our City of London Festival in the past may have seen her work before but this is the 1st time she is attending the Kensington Show.

We have over TWENTY new exhibitors attending our show on December 2nd, all unique & offering something a little different. Like these 2 very different interiors gurus who have turned their had to a smaller world.

We finally met @bigmansmallworld_ @minituritalia earlier this year after falling in love with his work on IG. Andrea says he is a miniature antiques shop. & his ornate style is hard to ignore.

@mslucyclayton style is very different but just as exciting. A true enthusiast, Lucy works with her Mum to create some inspiring interiors.
