Featured Artisan : Antonella Nardi

Antonella’s work is all about glamour & style. She has always been fascinated by French customs pre the revolution & her work is full of gold, feathers & lace, just like a scene out of Marie Antoinette’s boudoir. 

She began making room boxes for herself back in 2010, absorbing herself in the style that she loved. Then, in 2015, she exhibited her work for the 1st time at Miniaturitalia in Milan where she was delighted to win 3rd prize in their competition.  She is now a regular at the Milanese show & sells to collectors all around the world. 

As with many other miniaturists, she knows how important it is to have patience when creating your work.  To achieve perfection, you need to be able to spend time working on one aspect to get it just right. You cannot rush; you have to be able to focus on your work totally & be prepared to have to try to do something many times before achieving your aim.

Antonella lives in Italy with her husband & lovely dog. One of her twin daughters Lucrezia is often at shows helping on the stand.
