SMALL TALK with Steve Putnam

Small Talk with Collector & miniaturist Steve Putnam.
Interviewer: Charlotte Stokoe
Date: Saturday 15th May 19.00-20.00 GMT

Maker, collector & all around dolls house enthusiast Steve Putnam will be joining me to talk about the art of collecting.  Steve is an incredibly talented maker himself & always fascinated by miniatures, his passion for model making and miniatures was heightened at the age of 12 when his Grandfather, also a keen model maker, made a 1:12 scale Victorian shop and he was immediately transfixed by this tiny world and started making accurate scale miniatures to fill the shop.

Steve worked as a landscape artist before moving into set & display design where his highly detailed architectural replicas and fictional designs have been commissioned by architects, landscape designers and private collectors worldwide.

Over the last 25 years, he has built up an incredible collection of miniatures by some of the most talented makers. He will show us around his beautiful Cabinet House & pick out certain pieces that he feels are important to his collection, explain why & tell us more about them.

All our talks will take place on ZOOM. Once you have booked your place, we will send you a confirmation email. You will then receive further emails relating to your class, with more details.
