Information for visitors who are Blue Badge holders

Our shows can be incredibly busy at times & this makes it hard for disabled get around the show easily. We have always tried to find ways to make the day a little less stressful for everyone so we have introduced a couple of new initiatives that should help visitors with mobility difficulties. Please read the details below & get in touch with us if you have any questions.
- The Kensington Dollshouse Festival is on 3 floors . Our Event is a multi-level show, but there is a lift that means there is access to all 3 floors for anyone with mobility issues. However, there are 2 areas (The stage in the Ground Floor Hall & the stage in the 1st Floor Hall) that is only accessible via stairs. This means there are approx 5 stalls that are not accessible to visitors in wheelchairs. Please also note that to get to the entrance of the show from Hornton Street, avoiding steps, you will need to walk further up the pavement & enter the complex via the loading bay entrance.
- Booking a ticket for your carer . We have never charged carers entry to the show, but in the past visitors have had to contact our office directly to book a FREE carers ticket. We have now a carer’s ticket listed on our ticket page of Eventbrite, so this is an easy & straightforward way to book tickets for you & your carer.
- Early Entry for wheelchair users . Following a trial at our Christmas Show, we are happy to offer early entry to a limited number of wheelchair users & their carers at our Summer Show from 11.30 on Friday May 15th. Unfortunately, due to our timings, we are not able to offer early entry at our Summer Show on Saturday morning, but from our Christmas show onwards, we will be offering early entry at all our shows for both days. We can offer a LIMITED NUMBER of people with disabilities & their carers early access to the show. (Friday May 15th 11.30) to be eligible for this, you must fill in the BBH early entry form in advance of the show so we can add you to our list. We are only able to offer this to a limited number of people, so please do not leave it too late to register with us.
- What is the best time to visit ? Our shows do tend to be very busy, but we strongly recommend that you attend the show on the second day, which is always much quieter. If you can only attend on the first day of the show, we recommend arriving for the last 3 hours of the show which are usually considerably quieter than when the doors open.
